We are now hiring an Informatica Administrator with strong server administration experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting a large PowerCenter environment with over 200 servers. You will be joining a highly innovative and growing Informatica Data Integration Services team that manages the entire Informatica suit of products (such as IDQ, BDM, Proactive Monitoring, DVO, Axon, EIC, and IDL) for a Fortune Top 50 company in the health insurance industry. As the PowerCenter Admin, you will join a core group in providing daily operational server support, as well as on-call troubleshooting support, server patches, upgrades, and installs. You will gain great exposure to emerging technologies since this highly visible team supports multiple environments and technologies such as Enterprise Data Lake, Business Intelligence, Data Exchange, Data Fabric, Hadoop, Cloudera, Mongo, and Streamsets.
Qualifications 5-7 years of system administration experience in monitoring, patching, installing, configuring, upgrading, and applying HotFixes to PowerCenter Servers (up to 10.2) on AIX or Linux platforms Expertise in troubleshooting and finding root cause in Informatica Ability to work with a high sense of urgency when resolving critical issues or escalated support tickets in order to keep the environment up Experience using Teradata as a source/target Ability to integrate various data sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Netezza, MQ, Cloudera Hadoop, Hive, and HDFS Experience working in large, diverse Informatica environments and large multi-terabyte data warehousing environment (healthcare industry experience would be a plus.
Provide technical support for Data Integration Tools under the scope of the Data Integration Services organization Lead, design, and communicate major and minor software upgrades, implementation of new software offerings and infrastructure, maintenance, and coordination of testing activities Improve and/or establish, implement, and maintain ETL/Informatica administration best practices Research and provide recommendations for server capacity modifications Informatica/Data Integration/Data Quality tools & UNIX troubleshooting, and triage support tickets Lead, participate, and contribute innovative ideas in Internal Team Process Improvements Perform server patches and other infrastructure sponsored activities, stop/start services (AIX, Linux, or Windows platforms), and monitor Servers and environments using Informatica services
