Senior Technical Account Specialist (Pharmaceuticals)

Provide technical assistance relating to products, processes and identify and close opportunities
Co-ordinate and administer projects and act as technical interface between customer and functions
Lead customers in technical matters relating – service recommendations, product and packaging development, component processing, complementary systems and safety administrations and all other information needed to assure products meet requirements
Take a proactive role as technical interface between the customer and business functions – support development of strategies for products and services, interface with customers and account managers to obtain necessary background information
Advise on status of internal and external customer linked projects and update cross functional team on technical issues and projects
Identify trends in industry and assess evolving customer needs to develop, design and conduct technical studies of products and technologies for generating and supporting the business
Promote, present and actively participate in growing the business – lead technical seminars and symposiums with customers and prepare technical presentation and training materials
Represent the firm in tradeshows, conferences, seminars and industry forums – prepare presentation, posters and interface with industry leaders on technical topics
Act as a liaison between customers, Sales and Laboratories
Build expertise in key market knowledge areas over and above the internal trainings
Define all customer and technical criteria needed for new product launches, new products and formula development or other development projects
Lead special projects as needed
Work with Scientific Insights Lab as needed on special customer projects
Work closely with QA and Operations on change control and assist customers with technical aspects of change and FAQ
Work closely with all other members of Global Technical Customer team to assure open communication and a high level of effectiveness


Masters or Bachelors in a technical field (Chemistry/Materials/Engineering) with at least 7 years’ experience in technical support, analytical laboratory, research and development or an equivalent engineering role
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and manage key relationships across diverse organizational levels, business units and customers
Ability to utilize sound judgment and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
Ability to anticipate and identify internal and external client needs and make appropriate recommendations
Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization.
Global Travel will be required

USD 40000.00 to USD 50000.00
