JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises activities of the Technical Support team to provide maintenance and improvement of pre-defined operational level support for end-user IT equipment with a high degree of customer satisfaction and business/operational focus. Supervises and provides technical support/assistance for the configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of desktop PCs and related peripherals. This covers, but not limited to, the following: Desktop PC hardware such as scanners, printers; Desktop PC Operating System such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, etc; and desktop application software such as Microsoft Office, Anti-virus software and other applications software.Interfaces with client end-users to discuss and understand the requirements as well as explain the actions taken to close the ticket within clients satisfaction.Conducts preventive maintenance on workstations, and ensures that preventive maintenance plans and guidelines are met to guarantee security and compliance.Supervises technical activities to ensure security of desktop (PC) environment from external and internal virus threats through effective maintenance of antivirus software applications.Familiarizes with all client-specific programs and internal applications and maintains advance technical knowledge on such, following proper escalation procedures if concern is beyond his/her expertise/knowledge.Supervises the planning, implementation, monitoring, and completion of tickets as required by the company.Ensures that tickets handled are completed properly, on-time, and within the Service Level Agreement (SLA).Ensures the timely and effective delivery of technical support services in compliance to service level agreements (SLAs) defined with all internal and external customers.Coordinates the delivery of required services or solutions by a team of Technical Specialists or Administrators.Coordinates closely with other division/department heads to ensure efficient and effective implementation of all administrative and technical services.Coordinates with superiors and colleagues regarding daily technical support group activities (both routine and non-routine) for proper endorsement and completion of tasks and work orders.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of any Technical or IT-related courses (such as BS Computer Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Computer Technology, Computer Science and Information Technology)Must have minimum of 3 years of experience in Technical Support FieldPreferably with at least 1 year experience in a supervisory capacityWilling to work in Mandaluyong siteWilling to work on shifting schedules, holidays, weekends and extended hours.
Platform-Specific Requirements:
Must have good oral and written English communication skillsMust be experienced in technical support, Ticketing systems, and typical corporate IT client end-user requirementsMust be proficient in internet usage, Microsoft Office products, various Operating Systems and other productivity toolsMust have working knowledge in the implementation or compliance to external Quality and Audit standard such as ISO 9001, ISO 27001, PCIDSS, etc.Must have expertise in Desktop and Application support troubleshootingMust have working knowledge in Network and System AdministrationPreferably with MCP and Server OS certifications (e.g., A+, and/or Microsoft Desktop Support Technician)Preferably with expertise in the installation of programs, including client programs (e.g., 70-680 Installing and Configuring Windows 7 Client; or 70-270 Configuring and Administering Windows XP Client; 70-290 Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003; or 70-291 Implementing, Managing and Maintaining Windows Server 2003).
