[Description] Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, managing and driving the operations of a large fashion retail chain. Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with peers in Finance, HR, Internal Audit and Merchandising, he/she will provide overall operational leadership and deliver the top- and bottom-line targets. Key responsibilities include:

• Store operations, Visual Merchandising, Change management, Team Building, Training and Development, and highest levels of Customer Satisfaction
• Overall operational development and management of all existing and new stores across the country, review all existing processes and operating standards, identify areas of concern and strategically implement international standard operating procedures in order to increase consistent standards of retail delivery for the brands
• Management of all store openings including Fit Out/Refurbishment projects, Compliance with Local Regulations, Management of Subcontractors, Product Selection, and implementation of Retail Operation Controls.
• Ensure improved communications from centre to stores, customer communication within the stores, effective sales floor culture, and consistent delivery of brand standards as well as control and process improvements in store.
• Implement a new strategic approach for selection, on-boarding, training and mentoring of new staff. Build monetary and non-monetary incentives schemes to ensure high level of employee engagement
• Ensure all stores prepare and send daily/weekly/monthly MIS to Country HQ. Collate, analyse and make presentations at Group HQ for monthly Business Review.
• Closely monitor all store reports and investigate any deviations from normal; regularly visit stores and conduct detailed walkthroughs; constantly obtain feedback from employees and customers; ensure steps are taken immediately to redress complaints; and that both sales and customer satisfaction are consistently high.
• Advice top management on digital shopping trends, new store concepts/experiences, and competitor strategies.

Requirements

Ideal candidates will be qualified and experienced retail operations professionals. They will have:

• Masters or Bachelor’s degree from a reputed institution.
• At least 15-18 years of working experience in the retail industry
• Strong exposure to Fashion Retail, preferably large retail chains.
• Strong exposure to global best practices in fashion retail. Passion for retail business.
• Strong commercial acumen and numerical sense. Ability to grasp financial and operational data. Cross-functional experience.
• Excellent leadership, man-management and mentoring skills. Ability to work with and lead multi-ethnic teams; Cultural sensitivity.
• Strong planning and coordination skills. Attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good English communication skills – both written and oral is essential.
• High level of professional integrity and ethics
• High energy level; 24/7 availability; a solution-oriented can do positive approach to life.

Salary details
USD 120000.00 to USD 170000.00
