Description

We are seeking SQL Azure Support Engineers to join our Microsoft Solutions team at India (Pune) Development Center. In this role, you will deploy, upgrade and migrate databases, and applications, and services. You will also integrate Azure applications with external resources. If you are a technology expert, with a desire to provide potential customers with the best customer experience, this is the right challenge for you.

Job Responsibilities

Plan for an Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) or On-premise SQL Server implementation.
Deploy a Microsoft Azure SQL database.
Migrate an on-premise SQL Server database to Azure Virtual Machine. Generate benchmark data for performance needs, perform performance tuning on Azure IaaS, and support availability sets in Azure.
Configure secure access to Microsoft Azure SQL Database.
Configure SQL Server performance settings and manage SQL Server instances.
Manage SQL Storage and perform database maintenance.


Candidate Profile

Education: B.E. / B. Tech / MCA / MCS
Experience: At least 3 years as an Infrastructure support specialist.
Must have working knowledge of various cloud service models and service model architectures, data storage options, and data synchronization techniques.
Must have working knowledge of deployment models, upgrading and migrating databases, and applications and services, in addition to integrating Azure applications with external resources.
Must have excellent communication in English.
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and techniques.
