Summary Plans, directs and coordinates activities of information security, governance, and risk management projects and initiatives to ensure that project goals are accomplished and timelines are met per industry standards and regulatory requirements. The Senior Project Manager will also provide leadership for other members of the security administration team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manages projects and tracks progress across all strategic initiatives that comprise the information security roadmap for the company. Assists with identification and prioritization of security and compliance gaps using industry standard risk assessment protocols and PCI DSS regulations. Develops project plans, including goals, strategies, resource needs, task assignments, and timetables to address gaps in security, compliance, and governance. Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of projects. Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks. Negotiates buy-in and resource commitments for security initiatives from other teams within the IT Department and across the company. Interfaces with outside vendors to provide RFP's, obtain statements of work and quotations, request purchase orders, and establish work schedules. Monitors progress and maintains focus across various organizational units to keep projects on track. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice, resolve problems and remove obstacles to successful completion. Promotes a security-conscious culture and adoption of security policies, procedures, and practices through training presentations, written communications, and routine inspections and audits. Prepares status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of the security posture of the company and related issues. Travels to remote locations for project planning and implementation. Develops and maintains technical and procedural documentation. Leads and/or directs project managers within the department. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the management staff.

Supervisory Responsibilities Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. Assigns duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.A) from four-year college or university; and/or relevant technical certification(s); five to seven years of experience specific to information security related projects and implementations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical articles and documentation, regulatory requirements, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management.

Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Technical Skills and Knowledge Proficient in use of desktop productivity and project management software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Visio. Working knowledge of typical enterprise security concepts, technologies, and standards, LAN/WAN concepts and diagrams, and information security regulatory requirement. In depth knowledge of PCI DSS requirements and standards.

Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in statistical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Any certification in project management and information security is a plus.
