A period of sustained growth for our client, a leading light in the UK private healthcare industry, has allowed them to grow their internal IT team with the addition of a top-level IT support professional, who will sit within their main Bury site.
This company have gone from strength to strength and are doing great things for the personal health of thousands and thousands of people across the UK, and they want you to provide IT systems that have exceptional levels of uptime, so that they can continue to save and improve the lives of their clients across the UK.
What will I be doing?
You will be taking care of a variety of different tasks from day to day - from 'Business as Usual' support, through to project management for system developments, and on to fault diagnosis of major issues within the companys systems.
The business has sites across the UK, from Dorset to Dundee, Mold to Mansfield, and so you will from time to time be travelling around the remote sites, ensuring that systems are all in order. Dont worry, the business wont surprise you with lots of last-minute trips, and will help out with expenses on petrol and sustenance for any overnight stays that may be required.
Am I the ideal candidate?
The short answer is - I dont know yet. Youll need to be handy with thinking on your feet, because the business are going to give you plenty of autonomy with your role, letting you define how you prioritise your tasks and trusting you to get things sorted.
Youll need to have solid project management skills too - the business want to let you grow and develop different areas of your skillsets, so theyre going to get you working with various project teams, allowing you to set the agenda for how they go about their work.
And youll need great communication and relationship building skills, because theres no hiding in this game - youll be meeting plenty of internal stakeholders of all levels and walks of life, developing relationships with other areas of the business and making sure they know where they need to go if something is wrong.
Sounds good so far, what skills are they looking for?
Well, there are some must-haves, I wont lie. Youll need at a minimum to have strong experience with:
* Windows Server up 2016 * Exchange / O365 * Vmware (preferably 6.5) * iSCSI storage * Cisco networking * ITIL guidelines
