A global telecommunication organisation is looking for a Business Change Manager for a six month contract in Slough. This is paying 600 per day dependant on proven experience
About the role
The purpose of the Business Change Manager is to ensure the change is delivered successfully. The immediate focus is on identifying impacts and working with our business units to define appropriate business readiness plans that will directly underpin benefits realisation over time.
Working as part of a wider business readiness team, this role creates a bridge between the programme/transformation team and the business and is concerned with all aspects of change including business processes, people, partner and suppliers and regulatory/compliance changes.
The activities required of the role include:
Accurately capture change impacts arising out of detailed design activities including technology blueprinting, data architecture and process design as well as org design Analyse the data produced from change impact assessment and produce information for the programme and business to understand the change and how it will affect teams and the organisation overall Work with the business functions to identify interventions required to deliver the change through 'as is' / 'to be' analysis Support the business functions in the creation and management of appropriate and effective business readiness plans Facilitate effective business readiness governance through close tracking of change activities, capture, reporting and escalation of risks and issues and supporting the businesss undertaking of change activities (e.g. communication, training, document authoring etc.) Support accurate go/no-go decisions by acting in a quality assurance capacity at each stage of change impact and business readiness planning and delivery Provide support and coaching to change and business leads across multiple business units in the capture and delivery of detailed change impact assessments (CIAs)
Develop a detailed understanding of the change impacts across several functions/business units and streams of work Manage the functional change impact assessment to ensure it represents an accurate view of the overall change impact and is updated as needed throughout the lifecycle of the design, build and test phases of the programme Identify synergies, commonalities and differences across the functional areas and wider business and use these to develop sound and effective business readiness plans Support the assurance of the delivery of change / business readiness activities to go-live (working with the business change PMO and business stakeholders as needed) Support and coach the business functions on business change and their role within it
Experience of large scale change within an organisation undergoing significant transformation is essential Strong analytical and planning skills are required and prior experience of Change Impact Assessment essential Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is key Ability to assimilate and interpret information from a variety of sources Experience of delivering change, including identifying the activities needed to ensure the business is ready for 'go-live' Experience in process design and/or tech blueprinting advantageous Experience of change in agile delivery also advantageous
