You will lead the team that serves as the centre of excellence for data science and advanced analytics across various consumer and marketing divisions. In this senior role, you will help these businesses harness data and analytics to improve customer experiences, drive growth and transform the business. You'll provide expert technical guidance to our team of data scientists and analysts, and have enough commercial understanding to serve as their link to the rest of the business including senior management.
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in leading a technical data science/engineering team, coupled with a strong commercial sense in designing effective data science solutions that drives business outcomes.
At least five years' working experience in data science, data analytics, quantitative research or statistical analysis. Preferred candidates would have at least two years' experience in a corporate organisation or other commercial environment Experience in developing and deploying data and analytics solutions on a large scale Able to understand the business context and deliver impactful insights from data to drive commercial outcomes Strong technical expertise in data science, including statistical modelling, machine learning, optimisation and visualisation Experience working with cloud environments, popular analytics tools and programming languages commonly used in data science Able to manage a small team of direct reports and provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance Resourceful and able to manage multiple complex and time-sensitive projects simultaneously Strong communication skills and able to work well with a wide range of stakeholders
