Description

You will be responsible for the management, maintenance and overseeing the renewals of all contractual agreements required to run and develop the technical estate of the organisation. You will be the single-point of contact for all existing commercials and the expert voice in guiding and shaping future commercial needs. You will have a clear view on the roadmap and needs of digital services and provide a pipeline view to Sourcing who will deliver any required procurement activity.

Previous Public Sector experience is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving continuous, provable improvements and efficiencies in commercial and contract management You will be responsible for Service & Contract Management Pipeline, the Systems Pipeline and Contracts and Supplier Management Working with the Corporate Procurement Policy Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for the contract register and ensuring the early identification of licences and contracts coming to an end. You will be responsible for ensuring reviews with service owners, product owners and Architecture take place to plan for future service needs and future roadmaps, well in advance of any renewal dates. You will be responsible for ensuring effective and open contract life cycle plans are established with Service and Product Owners, Category teams and Delivery Managers Performance management and review of Strategic suppliers, leading any performance management or commercial resolution activities to ensure the organisation receives the best performance and value for its digital services. You will monitor the delivery of procurement activities carried out in the Sourcing team, providing expert commercial insight and context to the process Communicating Service and Product plans to Suppliers and ensuring appropriate commercial arrangements are in place Control any service credit Remedy regime. Acting judiciously with the business and service owners Stimulate steady process enhancement to present increasing operational efficiency in entire business partner processes.

Essential Criteria:

Breaking down barriers and dealing with escalations Extensive knowledge of commercial and contract management methodologies and best practice Extensive knowledge of supplier management principles and application in a fast paced, multidisciplinary and agile digital delivery environment. Detailed understanding of commercial agreements and models commonly in use within Digital and Technology in the public sector Detailed understanding of relevant commercial, procurement and contractual regulations and legislation Working knowledge of organisational change programmes, preferably in a technology or digital context Working knowledge of Business Planning, Financial and Resource planning processes as well as CO spend control processes and an understanding of the GDS design standards and service assessment principles
