Context

For one of her enterprise customers, Itility is responsible for a project to migrate a number of applications to infrastructure in a new datacenter. This new IT production environment is based on a FlexPod design (Cisco) and includes Cisco UCS, NetApp storage and VMware virtualization. In this phase Itility is searching for an engineer supporting the migration by migrating servers, storage and databases to the new environment.
After an inventory phase of an application, all found servers, storage, network and database configurations will be transferred to the new solution. We use a strict step-by-step plan (factory plan) to efficiently execute the migration.

Competence

Bachelor of Science/Master degreeMinimal 3-5 years of relevant work experience within an enterprise environmentsAdvanced knowledge of RHEL6 and Windows Server 2012R2Advanced knowledge of VMWare 5 and 6; VCAP5-DCD, VCDX5-DCV preferredExperience with NetApp FAS storage solutions preferredExperience with databases (MSSQL, Oracle) preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood documenting capabilities

The candidate has a hands-on mindset, a strong customer- and problem-solving orientation, shows fast results, and has demonstrated good communication skills, especially in an international IT organization. To achieve the project goals, the candidate is able to liaise directly with all stakeholders. The candidate has a clear focus on results and quality, and is eager to develop quickly as a project leader, serving customers mainly in the US West coast (San Jose, San Diego).
