Kindle Publisher tools and quality team enables Authors and Publishers to create best reading experience (both print and eBooks) across all languages, genres by making publishing fast, easy and low cost. The product portfolio includes tools (Kindle Create, Kindle Previewer, Quality issues dashboard), mechanisms (connecting end readers feedback to publishers to improve book quality) and deep learning algorithms. As a senior technical program manager, you will you will work with product managers, quality managers, development managers, business owners and engineers to build products/services from concept to launch by a) understanding and analyzing customer feedback/ask and data, b) make strong business cases for project prioritization and investment, c) build strategy, conceptualize features and deliver incrementally to customers, and d) assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints., The ideal candidate will have hands-on program management skills, leading large cross-functional projects from concept to launch, and will own:
1] End to end ownership of cross-functional projects, including product definition, roadmap planning, resource planning and project execution.
2] Work closely with business and operations leadership, including executive leadership at Amazon, to define the product and provide updates on the program.
3] Will be hands-on in driving the delivery of critical business initiatives, managing all aspects of the project such as project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation planning.
4] Will be a technical problem solver on the team, identifying innovative solutions to project deadlocks and resolving issues and constraints through consensus and sound judgment.
5] Will be responsible for making project decisions, achieving tactical goals while retaining a strategic focus.
6] Will work closely with the development teams and play a leadership role in product architecture and design

2] Ability to discover requirements, underlying feature requests, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet bold timelines with optimal solutions
3] Deep understanding of the SDLC and consistent record of achieving program objectives on schedule and meeting quality criteria
4] Strong sense of ownership and accountability for program success.
