This role will report to our VP, Data Science.

ETL stack:

Languages: SQL, PySpark, PythonETL Tools: AWS Glue, Pentaho or similarVisualization Tools: Tableau, or similarBackend: AWS Redshift, AWS Athena, or similarFile Types: parquet, xml, json, txt, etc.. Infrastructure: AWS (including S3, EMR, EC2, Lambda)

What will you do?

Work closely with cross-functional business, product, analytics and and BI teams to document ETL requirements and turn them into ETL jobs.Develop, adhere to, and be a proponent for data warehouse development standards, including ETL standards and best practices.Provide documentation for all developed ETL processes, including process flow and source and target mapping.Conduct ETL investigations, performance tuning and troubleshooting.Understand business decisions that need to be supported by data Research the state of a problem and existing solutions then quickly summarize researchBecome expert on projects to help strategize plans of attack in terms of technology and team educationEnsure that all security procedures within their area of responsibility are carried out to achieve compliance with security policies and standardsEnsure control objectives are implemented for all data movement processes, implement change control for production data, establish and follow proper incident management procedures.Leading multiple initiatives across both ongoing and innovative workProvide continuous mentoring to junior resources

We are looking for someone with:

7+ year's professional experience working as an ETL developer role4+ year's professional experience working in a quantitative computational role4+ year's professional experience working with big data engines and relational databases 2+ year's professional experience working with AWS Very strong hands-on experience of designing and implementing efficient near-real time data pipelines to load and extract from data warehouses and data lakesVery strong experience writing, troubleshooting and optimizing complex queries to support BI initiatives & ad-hoc investigationsStrong experience at supporting analytics initiatives and ability to wear multiple hats to ensure best outcome and minimize future iterationsFull commitment to quality, efficiency, and ability proactively anticipate, foresee and suggest necessary improvements and possible shortcomingsTeam oriented focus with ability to develop code in alignment with an Enterprise ArchitectureStrong experience mentoring junior colleaguesBachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
