Teds Grooming Room, a successful boutique leisure and hospitality brand, has a unique and exciting opportunity for a well-rounded middleweight Interior Designer to join the Central London team.
With a growing portfolio across the industry, this is a fantastic chance for someone with previous experience working across all design stages to join our team. You will be responsible for producing conceptual, CAD and FF&E work as well as installing on-site and overseeing third party supplier relationships.
About the role:
Participating in the viewing and surveying of new property with Management and AgentsDeveloping schematic layouts for Management reviewTranslating the schematic design into design development drawings and 3D visualsCoordinating with third party suppliers and Project Manager in producing all required specifications and schedules (i.e. wall covering, fabrics, M+E, finishes, furniture, sanitary ware, ironmongery, IT etc) in conjunction with the design and in accordance with the project cost planReviewing for design proposals against Management and Parent Brand expectationsManaging internal cost planning for budget control ahead of project live datesProject managing to maintain continuity of design intent through construction documentationEnsuring all information and construction documentation is complete, correct, consistent with all requirements and compliant with the LL requirements and contractual arrangementsProviding answers, drawings, clarifications in a timely manner during documentation and construction phasesMaintaining good contact with contractors and third-party suppliers as requiredDesigning and developing future interior concept ideas with the in-house teamMeeting any and all deadlines to ensure a smooth running of the projectDelivering and scheduling store openings along with in-house Operations, Marketing and Graphics team
Qualification in Interior Design / Interior Architecture3-5 years retail experienceProficient in CAD software 2D and 3DA passion and commitment to high-quality designAbility to present ideas coherently both internally and externallyFantastic communication skills both written and verbalWorking intuitively as part of a small in-house teamPortfolio of work should demonstration narrative; mood boards, FF&E selections, fabric/material boards, floor plans, elevations and joinery detailsProficiency in Vectorworks/Auto CAD, 3D software is a must, SketchUp advantageousExcellent UK supplier knowledge is also required
