IT Network Tools/Monitoring administrator is part of the IT Network Operational Governance team in Nokia IT Organization. He is responsible to manage/administrate all internal Network tools used to monitor all Nokia IT Network services and detect any faults/performance issues. He is contributing to the operational upkeep of all Network Services with help of the network suppliers. He is managing existing Monitoring platforms and define/implement new ones according to the needs and evolutions.
He/she is accountable and responsible for: Maintaining and continuous upkeep of existing Monitoring production environment (OP5, ThousandEyes, Internal ICMP based pollers) Addition / modification of devices and network services for monitoring as per IT Service Owner / Designer needs (for all devices ) and related process improvement Administration and maintenance of all servers and pollers (backup / restoration / migration / wizard dashboards preparations / account management/ License management etc.) Deploy/Install any new monitoring functionality and improvements. Customized scripts writing (Perl / shell scripts / Python) for automation / SNMP based monitoring Customized reports for the RUN team for availability / services based upon requirement Analysis of any incident from monitoring tool perspective and trigger corresponding actions To be in close relationship around monitoring scope and processes with our external eco system providers managing Nokia Network To interface with tool vendor for technical issues, patching, bugs resolution, To perform trainings /presentations for all the different tools internally or to our IT Partners when needed To be source of proposal for any monitoring features, new platform, Network monitoring technology watch Installation of new agents and cloud application monitoring tests creation within ThousandEyes tool based on requirements and info shared by corresponding Service Owner Participate to all tools vendor synchronization/alignment/account /technical/commercial meetings
Skills and Experience: Bachelors degree or equivalent Several years of experience around Network management and monitoring Thorough understanding of Network services specifically in LAN / WLAN, WAN, Remote Access, Internet, Firewall, Proxy, Loadbalancer Working experience with global service providers in a global landscape. Understanding of best practice processes and tools required to build and run the services in a multi-sourced environment. Ability to manage the impact of emerging cloud technologies on a traditional outsourced environment Monitoring platform management experience Experience in Network Anomaly detection, Analytics modern telemetry is welcome Monitoring/Network protocol knowledge (ICMP, SNMP, SSH, BGP, NETFLOW, CFLOW, MRTG, ) Scripting language (bash, Perl / shell scripts / Python) Linux, Unix OS basic skills Experience on some Monitoring tools (OP5, ThousandEyes, MRTG, Solarwinds, Airwave, Cacti, ) Office 365 experience usage and development skills (Sharepoint on Line, Power BI). Fluent English with coordination skills in virtual environment
