A senior level role within the North American region the Deputy Director, Program Management and Strategic Communications has oversight of strategic communications, public relations and planning. We are looking for a senior leader to implement multiple critical high profile business change initiatives specific to the North American region. A key member of the North American leadership team they will be accountable for strategic communications, working in collaboration with the North America regional marketing and Cambridge International transformation team. A simple, impactful, clear narrative around Cambridge Assessment International Education in the USA is mission critical to maximize success moving forward.
What you ll be doing
As the Program Management and Strategic Change Leader you'll be directly responsible for the strategic development and oversight of multiple project portfolios supporting the USA expansion investment, working in collaboration with senior stakeholders across Cambridge International, UK. Accountable for efficient delivery of several business building change initiatives you'll ensure alignment to and achievement of strategic business objectives.
Cambridge USA Strategic Communications and Re-branding initiative is a critical component of the role. You'll lead strategic communications and Public Relations across the region with the goal of delivering a brand re-positioning and improved clarity across all stakeholder groups including but not limited to Districts, Schools Universities, parents and Students.
Strategic activities include but not limited to:
Manage internal and external communications and messaging Developing an impactful storytelling narrative and pipeline Managing our PR Agency and maximize the impact of Cambridge PR in the USA
Business Change/Regional Management: Lead, in collaboration with the Regional Director, the Strategic Business Planning process outlined and set out by the Cambridge UK Executive Management. Oversee Contract Management, HR and Finance for the Region in collaboration with the Regional Director.
Business Strategy/Analysis: Act as an adviser to the Regional Director and North America senior management team in facilitation of an aligned strategy and effective and efficient decision-making. Accountable in collaboration with the Regional Director for the overarching program strategy and strategic and foundational change.
What we re looking for
With a Master Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, a qualification in Project Management qualification would be desirable.
Proficient in Program & Strategic Management you will have strong inter-personal & leadership skills. An ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business is vital bringing your excellent stakeholder relationship management skills. Proficient IT and business analysis skills with excellent problem-solving skills, you will be an exceptional communicator, both written and verbal.
You will have demonstrable experience of leading and delivering complex organisational change and a strong understanding of the US Education Market is essential. You'll be able to share your achievements in communications design and/or rebranding work and how you have managed programs, led, motivated and developed your people.
A natural team player who can collaborate in order to achieve objectives, you'll be a driver of change, using your initiative and taking responsibility for delivering multiple critical high profile business change initiatives specific to the North American region.
Able to identify, address and resolve conflict, you'll understand the strategic impact of business change, ensuring goals are met.
