Specialty Chemical Production and Quality Control
We have an immediate need for a Quality Control Specialist/Production Chemist to work for a laboratory and medical device manufacturer. This is a unique opportunity to work for a smaller company and wear multiple hats in Clackamas, Oregon.
Perform and document Incoming Inspection and/or Final QC of raw materials and finish products, as directed. Interface with Engineering, Applications, Production and Quality Coordinator to establish and document quality control procedures and root-cause analysis for incoming and returned materials, and final QC inspection of products.
Collaborate and facilitate the timely completion of all pertinent Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA), Nonconforming Material (NCR), Product Development Process (PDP) projects and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) assigned by Manager.
Perform Reagent Bulk and Finished Goods builds, Plate Bulk and Plate Coating Builds, Standards and Controls Builds as directed by Manager.
Generate, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, calibration and maintenance procedures, records and other laboratory, quality control and necessary documentation in accordance with Quality System and applicable regulatory requirements as needed to perform job.
Assist in internal and external audits, as needed.
Bachelor s degree in Chemistry or life science or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
3-5 years of hands-on experience with hazardous materials, instrumentation, manufacturing, and laboratory testing protocol.
Experience working in FDA and ISO regulated environment is preferred.
