Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois (US-IL) - East Moline Function: Information Technology Title: Infrastructure Analyst - 65432 Your Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Analyst, for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL you will work closely with cross-divisional business teams and suppliers supporting applications that leverage the IBM Watson Search technology - such as Dealer Path, Value Selling Navigator (VSN), deere.com, etc. to assist in the delivering on key business objectives. In addition, you will:
Work on the team to support deliver and support systems and infrastructure deployment and/or maintenance by planning its work, coordinating with others to deliver functionality on complex systemsWork on medium complexity infrastructure problemsApply technology to meet specific needs, focusing on the most difficult tasks and works on complex/significant parts of a system/sub-system or Infrastructure package and solves well-defined problems with little guidanceSelection, planning, and implementation of changes to a broad subset of the information technology infrastructure; requires contacts with multiple functional and business partners on tactical issues and some contact for planning issuesMay act as a work lead, providing technical supervision to other analysts and support personnelBuild the work needed to implement features from the product backlog (managed by the product owner)Determine the size of user storiesCreate and maintain automated test scripts and executes all other testing-related tasksTest deliverables against a user story's acceptance testsCreates, maintains, and executes against product or service documentationWork closely with other team members to ensure that features meet business needsProvide ongoing support and effective issue troubleshooting to ensure highest possible availability and efficiencyFollow industry-standard agile infrastructure design methodology for development and documentationWork collaboratively with infrastructure, security, software delivery teams and other stakeholdersMentor junior analysts in specific infrastructure technologies, such as: collaboration, desktop, network, server, storage, etc.

Understanding of the following infrastructure components, tools, and operating systems and the ability to troubleshoot in those environments:IBM Watson SearchScripting/automation (XML/Regex)Monitoring (SiteScope/Akana)RedHat Enterprise Linux 7Active Directory, LDAP, RBAC, Okta, HTML5, SQL, File Permissions (Windows & Linux), Apache)Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutionsAnalytical skillsExcellence in verbal and written communication forms with emphasis on persuasive communication, tact and negotiationRelevance scoring and ranking of indexed documentsExperience working in an Agile Environment
What Makes You Stand Out
Previous experience in programming/software development/data analystPrevious experience in search technology/tools (outside of IBM Watson)
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology or Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
