Successful candidate will:
Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment for sensor acquisition and actuator control systems.Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for onboard ship and submarine research.Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software.Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software at customer site in West Bethesda, MD.Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results.Some travel (< 20%) required to customer test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting

Ability to obtain Secret clearance.Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Applied Math or closely related field.Minimum of 2-3years of demonstrated experience developing LabVIEW software.
National Instruments CLA or CLD Certifications highly desirable.Some electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
