We are currently seeking a Progress DB / OpenEdge BL Developer to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Job Description:
This Progress 4GL / OpenEdge Developer role is apart of our Application Services Center of Excellence. You will partner with one of our High Growth Healthcare clients.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:
Provide Progress 4GL / OpenEdge Software Development
Demonstrate on the job proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages such as Progress versions 9.1x, Open Edge 10.x to 11.7 (CHUI) on Linux/AIX Progress versions 9.1x, Open Edge 10.x to 11.7 (CHUI) on Linux/AIX
Perform software development skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement.
Understand architecture and design across all systems, and work proficiency in developmental toolsets
Effectively troubleshoot technical issues as they arise during the project lifecycle,
Collaborate with developers located near shore as well as offshore on daily basis.
Follow best practices and guidelines.
Perform regular code and design reviews.
Minimum Candidate Requirements:
3+ Years experience in PROGRESS 4GL / OpenEdge development.
Bachelor?s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Preferred Skills:
Experience implementing Webservices, XML parsing, ProDataSets etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analyst Skills - Strong communication, troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
An understanding of the US Healthcare industry
