Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Middleware Administrator, you are responsible for SME level infrastructure and product support for various middleware and dev-ops components like WAS, IHS, MQ, UCD, WebSEAL, TDS (LDAP), Ansible, Shell, Python, & Redhat OpenShift (cloud) across various accounts.

Responsibilities Adopt the given technology to meet the drift of customer and business requirements.
Root Cause Analysis preparation and meeting Service level agreement for submission.
Validating backup techniques to ensure ease of system recoverability
Maintaining the system integrity and security by following the published Server Configuration Standards.
Timely security patching and applying support fixes as required.
Support and implementation of the Security policies and Controls as defined and developed by the Information Security team
Timely and accurate completion of other tasks as defined by the Manager of Enterprise ServicesWebSphere Systems.
As a Subject Matter Expert provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, and implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes on various middleware components.
Diagnose middleware products and related product issues and follow up with root cause analysis.
Developing a detailed understanding of WebSphere Application Server Clustering for High Availability.
Responsible for possessing and developing a detailed understanding of J2EE standards, JDBC configuration, JNDI Directory Services, SOAP and WebServices
Participate in Disaster Recovery, replications, planning, Changes, Upgrades, Implementation and tests as scheduled.
Primary on call support for Middleware components.
Support for technical consultation and inquiries from the other IT technical teams.
Support for new product installation and evaluation as needed.
Problem determination and resolution within expected time frame.
Assume personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA reaching root cause and preventing problems.
Lead daily Operations meetings provided there are no P1 incidents running.
Aid with identifying problem management trends.
Solid experience in Urban code deploy (UCD) administration and management

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT industry
Proficient in installation, implementation, upgrading, performance, security, patching and monitoring of WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment (WASND) environments
Experience in maximizing availability and performance for all WASND and IBM HTTP Server Plugins and IBM HTTP Server systems
Expertise in Disaster recovery and Replications along with providing technical assistance to the entire customer staff of developers, operators and administrators
Experienced in installation and configuration of LDAP Server IBM Directory Server
Valid understanding of WebSphere MQ which includes installations, configurations, HA - clustering, patching, security implementation and other related support
Proven problem resolving interpersonal good communication skills with ability to work under pressure in a highly visible role in a team and individually
Basic understanding of Ansible and Openshift (Cloud)

Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL)
