POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering will be responsible for the strategy, architect and operational excellence of Allstreams Cloud Infrastructure. Will be the prime developer of the technology roadmap, and work within a dev-ops model of service engineering, while working with the cross functional teams to ensure security and compliance. Success in this role requires strong technical leadership skills and experience assessing risk and impact to enterprise production systems. The Leader in this role must be passionate about empowering teams by providing tools and processes to be successful. Must also be an effective cross-collaborative partner and be able to drive initiatives throughout the organization.

In addition to being a strong technical voice, our leader must be an effective evangelist, mentor, and catalyst throughout the organization to elevate the companys capabilities as a service-driven organization by leveraging industry standard operational best practices. In addition to your technical skills, you will manage a team of cloud engineers including project oversight, mentoring and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS/DESIRED SKILLS:

* Familiarity with cloud automation, PaaS, Software Defined Storage/Networking, fabric based infrastructure

* Deep Knowledge of Hypervisor blade environment (HP, Cisco)

* 5+ years in-depth experience with VMWare (ESXI, vCenter, VMWare Switching, etc.)

* 5+ years in-depth experience with mass storage providers (such as: Nimble, NetApp, EMC)

* Microsoft Windows Server (Server 2008 and 2012 and 2016)

* Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 is a Must

* Deep knowledge of Cisco UCS configurations and best practices

* Highly competent in Windows/Unix/Linux operating systems and domain services

* Deep understanding of networking protocols and working knowledge of network design/management.

* Working knowledge of Routing and Switching based a strong foundation of the fundamentals

* Experience configuring and maintaining Load balancers and Firewalls (such as F5, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA)

* Must be highly analytical and detailed in planning, execution, and documentation of work

* The ability to handle stressful situations, tight deadlines, and demanding initiatives

* Experience leading and operating in a high uptime service delivery environment

* Ability and discipline to work and succeed in a fast pace and organizationally complex environment, to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology, and to lead and manage DevOps initiatives

* Demonstrated record in leading and instilling service disciplines and team work

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint

* Creative person with the ability to design innovative approaches to developing solutions

* Goal oriented with high standards for quality and performance

* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

* Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience a must

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE WHICH WOULD ENHANCE THE INCUMBENTS SUCCESS IN THE JOB:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline, and/or related work experience.

* 3+ years' experience in employee supervision and project management.

* Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of executing calmly against tough deadlines.

* Able to present information concisely and clearly to all levels of management, including financial, technical, and executive level audiences.

* Proven track record of successfully implementing, championing, and overseeing the successful completion of multiple projects.

* Professional experience in Telecommunications and service-oriented organizations a plus.

* Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and Project Management principles a plus.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

Works under limited to no supervision, both independently and within a team environment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employee; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance in a timely manner; managing employees; approving hours worked; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
