As a Technical Consultant, you will have the opportunity to provide support to a wide range of high-profile UK public sector and defence organisations. You will be involved in the production of high quality, formal deliverables and will review formal deliverables developed by others. Our position as a client-side advisor means that your role will involve significant stakeholder engagement, dealing directly with the client, including in resolving day-day issues involved in assignment delivery and developing follow-on opportunities.
You will be given the opportunity to further your career in consulting, specialising in the application of a broad range of methodologies and technical specialisations to a wide range of business problems. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in the application of a wide range of methods and accreditations, including:
*Enterprise and Technical Architecture development and review using EA frameworks and methods; *Business or systems analysis methods and tools, eg BPMN, UML; *Software development methods and techniques eg Agile methods such as SCRUM; *Information security policy standards eg ISO27001/ISO27002, Cyber Essentials; *Programme and Project Management methods eg MSP, PRINCE2, DSDM, Scaled Agile Framework; *Public sector best practice guidance, eg ITIL, OGC toolkit *Systems integration and testing *Requirements capture and analysis *Feasibility studies and business case development; *Information systems security; *Cost modelling and investment appraisal.
The roles includes substantial training, including online, classroom and in-house courses, leading to nationally recognised qualifications in areas such as Project Management, Agile methodologies, Business Analysis, IT Service Management, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, and Technology Procurement. We provide structured career development pathways to help you gain responsibility and influence.
Qualifications and Experience:
We work predominantly within the UK Defence and Public Sectors, because of this experience within those sectors is desirable, preferably within the ICT context on enterprise solutions. The fast-moving nature of the ICT environment, together with the need to resource multiple, ad-hoc assignments, also requires our consultants to be quick thinkers, proactive and self-motivated - with the ability to apply a structured approach to often unfamiliar subject matter.
Our client offers:
*35,000 - 50,000 (Depending on Experience) *Discretionary bonus, paid twice a year *25 days annual Leave + bank holidays *Pension/Healthcare
This is an exceptional opportunity to secure a position within a well renowned, well respected ICT consultancy operating in UK Government and Defence. The level of training, development and career progression on offer here is exceptional and you will be championed at all stages to make the choices that take your career where you want it to go.
