Global Information Grid (GIG) Service Management-Operations (GSM-O), a Defense and Intelligence Group of Leidos has an opening for a Window Server Systems Administrator at Scott AFB, IL.

JOB SUMMARY:
Leidos is seeking a candidate to fill a Window Server System Administrator position supporting DISA's GSM-O contract at Scott AFB, IL. The candidate will support efforts to install, test, and operate a network management system composed of multi-user computer systems running Windows 2012, 2016 or higher but also includes Red Hat Linux Servers supporting a cyber defense system used to detect and mitigate zero-day and advanced persistent threats (APT) for the DoD. Provides support on a M-F business hours schedule but extended hours are expected to support the implementation timeline. Support weekends as required by mission or emergency situations. Approximately 10% of the job will require domestic and international travel. Candidate is familiar performing within a fixed price, performance-based environment where performance is based on pre-determined Service Level Agreement's (SLA's) or Acceptable Levels of Performance (ALP's). Candidate is required to support the development, documentation and tracking of measurements and metrics relevant to the ALP's.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be able to work in a rapid paced environment and must be able to work independently.

Works with Lead Systems Engineer and Lead System Administrator to develop engineering documentation to include rack elevations, network connectivity diagrams, and implementation and operations guides

The candidate works independently to maintain the smooth operation of a multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.

Duties include setting up administrator and service accounts, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space.

Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.

Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.

Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower level technical staff.

Provides support on a M-F business hours schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by mission or emergencies.

Support the implementation and buildout of the applicable systems to include:

- Supporting physical installation to include power and network interconnections

- Software installations, version upgrades, and patching

- Implementation of Host Based Security System (HBSS), Alarm Management, management tool integration

- Complete security configuration to STIG Scans, patches, etc.

Support the integration and testing of the environment

- Assist in the development test plans
- Verify security certificates, single sign on (SSO), network time protocol (NTP) configuration, simple network management protocol (SNMP) implementation, system logging configuration, audit log configuration, domain name system (DNS) configuration, HBSS configuration, and alarm management integration
- Test and verify backup solution and restoration
- Verify status of any components previously implemented and bring these to completion

Support Assessment & Authorization (A&A) efforts under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

- Assist in developing the System Security Plan and developing accreditation artifacts
- Provide STIG reports on findings

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 5 years of overall related experience with a Windows Servers environment (eg 2008r2 and 2012r2). Specific experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience with VMware Vcenter and associated products.

Experience with integration of cyber related tools and systems with performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems.

Experience with support systems to include enclave Ethernet switches, storage area networks (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS).

Remote Desktop Services (Login and Security)

Use of Powershell Scripting and experience in other languages like Python.

Completing registry backups and modifications

Using Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

Group Policy Management (GPO) and applying Local Security Policies

Use of Windows Task Scheduler

Managing Active Directory

System (hardware) and application (software) installation and configuration.

System monitoring using installed tools as well as external tools.

Application of security settings and other commercial best practices such as DISA STIGS.

Experience with configuration, troubleshooting and maintaining VMWare environments.

Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.

Currently possess DoD 8750 certification at least IAT level II, eg Security+ce.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.

Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy.

ITIL v3 Foundation certified

Linux OS experience.
