A Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is required by a leading technology company in Poole, Dorset.
The company prides themselves on providing the highest level of IT infrastructure services to businesses, and ensuring they receive high-end customer support. They require someone who has strong experience in installing and configuring Microsoft Cloud Solutions, namely Azure and Microsoft 365. The company will invest in you to enable you to become even more of an expert in your field!
This position has become available due to growth within the company. It is a customer-centric role where there will be a combination of working at client sites, remotely, and on-site at the companys office in Poole. Clients are located a maximum of 2-3 hours from Dorset and hotel stays will be provided when required.
Carry out cloud-based infrastructure projects from planning through to implementationProduce implementation plans, liaise with customers, carry our initial system builds, and conduct the cloud migrationsMaintain skills in Azure, Office 365, networking, and securityDocument hardware and software installations and configurationsProvide out of hours escalation support for major incidents when required
Solid understanding and strong experience working with Microsoft 365 and Azure Cloud solutions (including Windows InTune, Endpoint Manager, ATP, etc.)Good experience in the following technologies: Windows ServerExchange ServerSQL ServerWindows ClientsVirtualisation (preferably VMware vSphere or similar)Backup (e.g. Azure)Anti-VirusFirewalls (preferably Watchguard XTM or similar)Server hardware/switching (Aruba HPE, Cisco or similar)Storage (HPE Nimble, NetApp or similar)Linux Centos/RedHat is advantageous Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle is essentialAny experience working in a client-facing IT Reseller/ Consultancy/ MSP environment is desirableAny certification(s) in MSP, CCA, VCP, MCSA or similar is desirableAny qualification(s) in Microsoft Azure or O365/M365 is desirable
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between 40,000 - 50,000 p.a. depending on your level of skills and experience, plus car allowance, bonuses, incentives, and a strong personal development plan. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays, pension, and a great social environment (weekends away etc.)
Covid-19 & Remote Working: The business is currently operating a remote working policy, however as this is a client-facing role, there will be the requirement to visit customer sites to carry out installations and configurations where this cannot be done remotely. The company is taking special care to ensure that client sites that require visitation are a safe environment and that staffing levels are acceptable.
