Position Description

CGI Federal is looking for a Mainframe Developer with Data Engineering skills to support one of our Health IT projects within our Health and Compliance Business Unit. This is a full time position based at our Woodlawn, MD office.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities
Develop the design for enhancements and changes using Agile methodologies. Translates that design to a coded module, and unit tests it. Supports the various testing of those changes. Supports the production environment, and any fixes needed to keep production running.
Software management and verification for all scheduled and emergency production releases

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Must be a good communicator, with strong writing and verbal skills
Experience working with Agile methodologies
Ability to work with and understand DB2 Stored Procedures and Cobol Programs
Must have at least 3 years of experience.
Skills needed include COBOL, SQL, DB2, JCL, TSO, and ISPF in an Agile environment.
Experience with Data Modeling highly desired

Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of the CMS healthcare environment is a definite plus.
Experience using JIRA and Confluence
Working knowledge of MySql a plus
Familiarity with AWS a plus
