Configure and maintain firewalls, switches, load balancers, Routers & VoIP systems thoroughly testing all systems prior to production usage Install and maintain operating systems for network appliances & software including migrating to new OS releases and loading patches Conduct system backups Analysis of log files, utilisation reports & network statistics etc Conducting change control requests Coordinate installation of hardware and software with clients, vendors, and other supporting staff to coincide with receipt of equipment OR travel to site and conduct install and UAT Triage and resolve communications problems within and between local office and other branch offices globally Conduct ad hoc connectivity projects such as, but not limited to - traffic isolation and LAN to LAN tunnelling for 3rd party access Maintain and update documentation for accuracy Support VoIP telephony inclusive of migrating from Hosted to Cloud VoIP services Maintain DNS/BIND/SSL/TLS systems and DHCP services Preparation of business plans Development and review of maintenance schedules
Essential Experience in a commercial environment with Cisco networking as a primary role CCNA/P level required or similar certifications Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN/VoIP and Security related problems/incidents as pertaining to web hosting, B2B and 3rd party access Operating systems Cisco IOS IOS-XE NX-OS ZBFW AnyConnect Remote Access ASA 9.4 onwards Experience of supporting Check Point Firewalls R77.30 to R80.30 Experience of Meraki MS - Switches MR - Wireless AP's MX - edge devices Experience of F5 load balancers and SSL acceleration BIG-IP v13 onwards Experience of network management and monitoring systems Vendor Based Solarwinds Cisco Secure ACS Experience of Network Services DNS DHCP Radius/NPS TACACS+ Experience of VoIP systems RingCentral (Cloud) Zoom Preferred Services Active Directory Linux Red Hat/Fedora Centos Ubuntu Network Management OpenSource Solarwinds Cacti Smokeping RRDtool Nagios LibreNMS TACACSGUI VoIP/collaboration ININ (Interactive Intelligence/Genesys) Polycom hardware AudioCodes (Local DDI gateways)
