The SGD Instructor, under the supervision of the Coordinator of Simulation and Game Development, is responsible for developing and teaching courses that range from game programming to game design. The instructor will implement technical solutions to support the creation of high-quality creative content across multiple game and simulation platforms including web, mobile, and AR and VR interactive experiences with current technologies. The instructor will work with and guide individual students and student teams, providing a strong base of technical solutions related to the creation of media and digital imaging including 2D and 3D content creation for use in game engine software. The instructor will assist in maintaining digital media related labs on campus and related equipment. Other duties include academic advising, appointments to campus committees, and assigned duties by the Dean of Applied Technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Interactive Game Development, or related degree in Simulation and Game field and/or 10 years professional experience in simulation or game development industry. Masters Degree in Computer Science or MFA in Game Development or related field preferred. Two years teaching experience on a college level required. Three years industry experience in related game or simulation field preferred. Fluency in game engine Scripting in either Unity or Unreal Game engines. Fluency in programming languages such as C++, C#, JavaScript and/or other object-oriented languages preferred. Proficiency in 3D content creation and animation tools and 2D graphics creation software required. Proficiency and experience in the creation of mobile apps preferred. Good written and oral communication skills. Understanding of and commitment to the college's mission and philosophy.

Salary: Hiring Range - Minimum to Midpoint ($4,234 - 5,552/monthly) 9-month contract
