*Cyber Security Technical Writer/QA*Description*Jacobs is currently seeking a Cyber Security Technical Writer/QA to provide remote support.Duties will include:* Create and/or edit Cybersecurity documentation such as Policies,Standards/Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/ProcessDocuments, Checklists, Use Cases, Job Aids, and other related securitydocumentation.* Review and revise documentation relative to Security Controls, Risk, andVulnerability Assessments, to include Security Assessment Plans andSecurity Assessment Reports.* Perform quality assurance on Security Assessment Plans, Reports, SOPs,and other related deliverables in preparation for client delivery.* Evaluate documentation for readability and usability.* Maintain records and files of work and revisions.* Organize material and complete writing assignments according to setstandards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.* Create and utilize data flows, diagrams, and charts to illustrate content.* Demonstrate expertise in page design and layout.* Interview internal technical team members for documentation content andto build familiarity with cyber security policies and federal guidance,security assessments, risk and vulnerability assessments.* Create, update, and maintain documentation templates as necessary.*Qualifications*Qualifications:* Minimum of 3 year technical writing experience.* BA or BS degree or equivalent experience.* Experience with writing security policies, standards, standard operatingprocedures.* Experience in writing and/or providing quality assurance reviews of securityassessment plans, SOPS, and reports.* Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., SharePoint).* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Adobe.* Familiarity with Microsoft PowerPoint.* Excellent technical writing skills and attention to detail.* Ability to work independently, and as part of an assessment team.* Ability to handle multiple tasks.* Ability to present content through visual illustration. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to obtain a security clearance.Desired Requirements:* OT/IT Cyber Security experience desired.* Compliance/regulatory background a plus.* Knowledge of NIST 800 series and/or FISMA.* Demonstrated ability to learn and write new technical, IT, or cybersecuritytopics.* Familiarity with the Federal Plain Writing Act of 2010.* Self-starter and problem solver.* Experience in IT Quality Assurance.* At least 1 year of federal government consulting experience.* Excellent time-management, organizational, and communication skills.* Ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work.* Mature, professional attitude and appearance.* Ability to adapt to change and remain flexible.* Openness to continuing learning and upgrading skills.Essential Functions:Physical Requirements:Most work will be done at a desk or computer.Work Environment:General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.Equipment & Machines:General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.Attendance:Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.Other Essential Functions:Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed.
