Our client is a fast growing MNC in the advertising/ creative industry. It is a fast-paced business, with fast growth and fast decision making. It strives to be World Class in both client delivery, and management of the business.

It is now looking for an experienced and bright Finance Director with related industry experience who can do the role both now, and when the business grows to 4 or 5 times the size it is today. You will both hit the ground running and is capable of managing and liaising with the senior management team on a daily basis. The role reports into the APAC MD and Global CFO.


WHAT YOU WILL YOU BE DOING:

Management of the APAC finance team.Ensures that Finance is closely integrated with, and positively supports the business to maximize revenue, profitability and efficiency.Supports strategic planning sessions and works extensively with the management team to ensure alignment of the process into the budget and forecasting cycles. This includes the development of priorities, execution plans, establishing revenue targetsManages division financial close and forecast, including analysis of key business drivers, expenses and timely communication of risks and opportunities.Apply contemporary accounting techniques such as competitive pricing analysis, consumer spending trends, cost behaviour analysis, operating budgeting, value chain analysis to provide interpreted insights to direct managements attention to key strategic issues.Provides leadership to the relevant business and finance functions to enhance their business acumen, financial know-how, to align them to delivery of financial objectives for the division.Provides finance support in the expansion of the business e.g. opening of new offices, non-traditional customers business case development, etc.High level of engagement required with regional and global functions to have high impact on cross functional issues, and ensure alignment with regional and global direction.Communicates corporate and regional policies and establish review processes to ensure financial control and compliance with local statutory regulations, financial and taxation regimes in the region.Reporting to the Global CFO and lead the corporate and group controllership function includes accounting, finance, tax, treasuryManage group audits, consolidation, corporate reporting with strong experience in IFRSManage treasury function including multi-currency exposure in multiple countriesLead the Tax, Treasury and Compliance function, with in-house experts in the teamManage the Group Audits, regulators and tax complianceEstablish sound internal control and standard financial/operating procedure, lead special finance projects


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE:

Qualified CA or CPA with a degree in Accounting or FinancePreferably 10+ years overall experience in a fast-paced industry with at least 5 years in a regional FC/ FD position; experience in managing senior leaders with regional exposureRelated industry exposure gained in advertising or media is preferred. But strong FD cands from consulting or professional service may be considered.Has APAC regional finance experience.Hands-on and at the same time strategic. Ability to work at all levels (operational, tactical and strategic)Excellent commercial acumen, very good communication ability, gravitas, the ability to influence and argue points with senior business stakeholders and positively influence the businessInspiring leadership qualities, including the passion to help educate and level up the organizationStrong business acumen with sound decision making qualitiesERP system skills highly preferredExcellent stakeholder management and presentation skillsThrive in a high growth, fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
