Department overview
The Enterprise Technology Infrastructure (ETI) team within the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) is responsible for enterprise-wide infrastructure services across the global footprint, including networking, production services, storage, data centers, mainframe, midrange and Cloud-based systems, distributed systems, and international infrastructure.

About Role
Installs, configures, tests and maintains operating systems, application software and system management tools. Ensures the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Maintains security back-up, and redundancy strategies. Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks. Participates in the design of information and operational support systems. Provides 2nd and 3rd level support for Systems and liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Responsibilities

Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported system area. May assign tasks and/or project resources. Monitors work progress and adherence to technical process controls/standards.
Team member will be responsible for Configuration, Patching and Change Management Support for Server Infrastructure with exposure on hardware,
OS (Solaris or Linux) that are hosted in remote datacenter. Most of the systems run on Sun Midrange,
Intel Standalone, Blade and VMWARE servers.
Should have remote Infrastructure Support Experience with excellent scripting and automation skill with Good Communication Skills. Should be ready to work in 24x7 shifts on rotation basis.

Essential Qualifications:
Mandatory Support Experience handling environment of large-scale Solaris or Linux OS and Sun/X86/X64 Hardware
Mandatory Support Experience in Remote Datacenter based servers support of US clients.
Strong Knowledge on Redhat Linux Operating System.
Mandatory Support Experience on Sun and Intel Server Hardware HP/DELL/IBM Standalone and Blade Servers.
Support Experience on Oracle and HP/DELL/IBM firmware upgrades.
Support Experience on OS and Hardware Troubleshooting.
Support Experience in writing Python/Shell scripting to automate day to day work
Knowledge and Experience on VERITAS Volume Manager, Multipathing and Clusters.
Knowledge/experience in Puppet/Ansible
Knowledge and Experience on Server Management tools like OVO/Netbackup/Alerting tools.
Knowledge on Web,Application & Database Servers Support.
Strong communications skills, both in writing and speaking.
Should be comfortable working with US teams.
Familiar with Ticketing tools like Service Now
