My client a market leader in their field are recruiting a Java Application Support Analyst.You will be joining a well established team of talented and supportive developers.What will you be doing as a Java Application Support Analyst?
Management and ownership of support tickets for issues or queries relating to our in-house Java-based CRM and Sales platforms. Resolve 2ndand 3rdLine (technical/development) application support tickets to agreed service levels, undertaking root cause analysis where necessary. Dealing directly with business users in order to resolve their requests. Prioritise support calls and escalate to the wider development team where required. Ensure accurate and timely feedback on submitted support requests to internal customers. Maintain an awareness of recurring support issues and develop strategies to reduce them Manage recurring software releases into Test/Production environments.What experience / skills are we looking for? Degree in IT related subject with significant focus on software development. Min 1 years experience in commercial support/development environment. Good Java knowledge and skills, supporting Java 8 and higher. Experience of working with web applications in a JEE environment. Experience with open source frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc Experience with database technologies, ideally Oracle, with good SQL skills. Willingness and ability to quickly learn new technologies, applying skills learnt to solve specific problems. Experience of providing excellent customer service in an IT or business environment. Well organised and able to work well under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.This role is commutable from Nantwich, Crewe, Stoke-on-Trent and South Cheshire area.
