Role Description:

The position is to fulfil a need within the Commercial Cards Development Team. The candidate will be responsible for enhancing and supporting applications. MicroStrategy will be the primary technology used supplemented by strong technical appreciation of DB2 databases.

Primary responsibility of the candidate will be working on reporting solutions, static/dynamic dashboards, documents using MicroStrategy. Candidate should have knowledge of Data Warehouse. Knowledge of DB2 is plus. Candidate should have familiarity of MicroStrategy Architecture and schema object development.

The candidate will work closely with business partners to gather complex reporting requirement. The position will require performing data analysis to validate business requirement. Analyze impact of proposed solution across business, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. Provide IT test plans, and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed.

Detail Role Specifications & Requirements


Design, code, test, document and implement application release projects as part of development team.
Work with onsite development partners to participate in design and architecture for key enterprise applications to ensure deliver software on time, to required standards and as per the design documentation.
Proactively notify Development Project Manager of risks, bottlenecks, problems, issues, and concerns.
Compliance with organisations System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements.
Will work closely with Quality Control teams to deliver quality software to agreed project schedules.
Work with BA and understand all functional and technical requirements of the project.
Managing time and changing priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to provide quick turnaround to software issues and management requests
Ability to assimilate key issues and concepts and come up to speed quickly

Qualification and Competencies:

BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
Minimum 5-7 years of proven project experience
5years of experience with Business Intelligence tools mainly MicroStrategy 9.x. Exposure to 10.x is a plus.
Experience in working with DB. Solid knowledge around performance tuning and optimization of SQL.
Must be well-versed with Object Migration, User Management, Security Groups, roles, ACLs and Security Filters.
Practical knowledge of SDK.
Excellent communication skills. Clearly articulating and documenting technical and functional specifications is a key requirement.
