About the Role
The person will work on designing, reviewing, monitoring and reporting the portfolio management strategies like BT, Upgrades, CLI, CLD etc. The person is expected to develop expertise in SAS and have a sense of ownership. One of the important element to be successful in this role is having attention to detail, which will result in accurate monitoring and reporting of risk strategy performance.

Responsibilities: Applies strong subject matter knowledge to serve as an authority and credible challenge to corporate and/or line of business management regarding credit performance, potential or emerging risks, and business conformity with risk appetite, credit culture, and policies.
Creates, Analyzes and Presents reports and findings to management and provides input into decision-making.
Leads end to end delivery of project from gathering requirements to final delivery which may require but not limited to understanding of credit products, credit lifecycle, credit risk different functions, data management, product pricing, valuations, regulatory and compliance requirements, internal vs. external audit etc. Lead development of strategies / solutions related to improving acquisition, account management, loss forecasting, collection and recovery processes. Provide insights that helps business understand some self-identified issues and audit findings. Assesses and predicts risk and performance through business analysis.
Ensures conformity with risk appetite and culture. Partners with line of business to ensure adherence to appropriate credit policies. Approves or recommends approval of products, programs, policies. Manages complex processes and projects, and/or serves as a team member on complex projects/initiatives. Consults and implements initiatives with moderate to high risk. Internal interface with business regarding risk management.
Be a catalyst and help provide leadership with improvement opportunities in respective area acting as SME. Propose innovative solutions to risk problems by leveraging advanced analytics/tools. Participate in training and development of relatively new team members to share subject matter expertise in respective domain.
Essential Skills:
Over all experience around 1-5 years in similar role of consumer lending or experience in reporting or analytic functions
Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative fields such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciences
Experience in credit risk analytics
Advanced SAS, Macros knowledge, R, Python
Strong Knowledge of MS Office Tools / Segmentation Tools / Decision Trees
Strong technical skills and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience determining root cause analysis

Desired Skills: Advanced degree in statistics/finance /engineering/other quantitative disciples
Understanding of analytic/scored decisioning environment
Demonstrated excellence at developing sound credit processes and enhancing existing processes
Proficiency in Advanced SAS and SAS macros; Tableau or BI/automation tools


Market Skills and Certifications


Bachelors degree or higher in a quantitative fields such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciences

Desired qualification: Masters degree or higher in a related field such as business or economics. Advanced Degree in a quantitative field

Total work experience: 1-5 years of experience in credit risk or a related role;

1 Experience in credit risk analytics

2 Advanced SAS, Macros knowledge, R, Python

3 Advanced degreee in statistics/finaince /engineering/other quantitative deciples

4 Strong Knowledge of MS Office Tools / Segmentation Tools / Decision Trees

5 Strong technical skills and problem solving skills
