The Corporate Operations Group (COG) brings together specialist support services including workplace, human resources, market operations and technology. COGs purpose is to drive operational excellence through business-aligned services with a focus on quality, cost and risk. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated FIX Client onboarding specialist to join our team, CGM Trading Technology. This role is for an Equities Derivative Technology (EDT) Client onboarding specialist engineer based in India but working with desk-aligned teams to the EDT business across Hong Kong, Sydney, London, Mumbai and New York. We are aligned with the CGM Electronic Execution business which uses FIX Protocol based trading system which actively execute trades in many markets globally.

You will work directly with a global business, support teams, traders, client onboarding, operations & external partners, etc. This role will have exceptional visibility to all aspects of the business and technology. You should have strong technical background with exceptional logical and communication skills with a desire to work with us every day looking to improve production & non-production environments.

Your responsibilities will include working with the trading desk, to support external clients execution flow. Engaging with the technology teams on client side to support the production business flow and work on various client onboarding projects for on-boarding new clients, and managing/maintaining the limits and systems interface for existing clients. You will manage all the production releases and environments for CARE, DMA and Algo workflows on Global Stock exchanges and support the clients flow from FIX Onboarding and operations perspective. You will also work on the cost savings initiatives by reducing and reviewing the FIX Connections globally. You will also work with external clients on certification for new products and algorithms roll out. You will work with QA teams to test out any new features/functions developed as part of new client requirements, and do the regression testing if any system updates are going to PROD. You will be working with networking team to implement firewall changes whenever any new platform/client is on-boarded.

Skill set will include:

Minimum 2 years of experience in FIX client on-boarding.
High Level understanding of FIX protocol.
Good understanding of Unix.
Ability to work independently and read FIX Logs files efficiently to resolve order workflow and session related issues.
Networking knowledge (e.g. TCP/UDP, NTP, ICMP, SNMP, etc.)
Demonstrate high-level of client service skills (incident management, operational processes)
Experience with supporting complex business-critical systems and enterprise distributed systems
Front office experience preferably Futures and Equity Derivative, and experience with Electronic Trading Systems/Client Connectivity.
Ready to work in Flexible hours, including weekends.
1st point of contact for incidents to both clients and internally stakeholders
Interest in at least one programming language (Java/C#)
Excellent written and verbal communication in English

It will be nice to have:

Understanding of Derivatives and/or Equities Front Office business
Knowledge of Algorithmic & DMA trading flows, FIDESSA and/or HFT trading platforms
Understanding of exchange mechanics of electronic trading
Desire to simplify and automate using a scripting language (Shell, Python, Perl, Batch script)
Experience in agile working methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
Experience in continuous integration and delivery (Bamboo, uDeploy etc)
Experience in source control technologies (git, svn)
Interest in hardware & also virtual / cloud-based infrastructure.
Able to work on 3rd party tools and applications
