The Robotics Programmer IIs main purpose is to provide successful programming of robotics and automation equipment. The primary responsibility will be developing software programs for our automation systems while maintaining excellent customer relations and positive employee morale. Duties and responsibilities o Attend project meetings. o Understand the process that is being automated. o Offline programming of robotic systems. o Robotic cell start up, debug and I/O configuring. o Programming at our facility and end user facility. o Shop break down of robotic cells for shipment. o Assist with onsite layout and installation/commissioning of robotic cells. o Development of documentation and operation manuals. o Service and repair of robotic systems including filling out field service reports. Qualifications/Requirements o Ability to read and understand mechanical, fluid power, and electrical principles and prints. o Two years of advanced programming the following robots: Fanuc and ABB. Motoman programming experience is not required but a plus. o Understanding and implementation of various communication protocols (Ethernet I/P, FL net, Device net, Profibus, etc.) o Experience with vision processes using FANUC iRVision. Cognex vision knowledge and experience a plus. o Experience with KAREL (UNIX), Basic or C++ not required but a plus. o Experience/understanding of machine tool and other peripheral equipment interfacing. o Experience/understanding of creating HMI screens on robot teach pendants a plus. o Ability to troubleshoot various types of software and electrical systems. o Good customer service skills will be required. o Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self, employees or others. o Independent personal transportation to office is required. Work vehicles are provided for travel to and from customers locations and supplier sites. o The individual must demonstrate attention to detail and finishing. o The individual must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical project or service requirements. The individual will need be able and willing to work overtime as necessary. o The individual must be able to multitask, prioritize, show extreme resourcefulness and problem solving skills and perform well under pressure. o The individual must be able to pass a drug test. o The individual must be able to work both independently and within a team environment. o The individual must be willing to travel. Work site may be located at various customer sites. This may involve airline travel.



The individual must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. o The individual must follow all manufacturing facility safety guidelines and take required safety training as necessary. o The individual must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English (both verbal and written). o The individual must wear required safety equipment at all times while at customer facilities. Working conditions o Regular hours will be between Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm. o Office, shop, or customer manufacturing site environment. o Ability to sit and work at computer for an extended period of time. o Ability to walk up numerous flights of stairs/ladders and/or work in tight spaces in extreme conditions as needed. o May work near moving mechanical parts and equipment. o May have to work where floors are slippery. o Possible weekend, holiday or evening work as needed. o Some travel required. Physical requirements o Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. o This job can involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. o The individual must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders. o The individual must be able to perform two-handed work. o There is a possibility that due to parking availability and locations at end users, walking moderate to long distances at times may be required.
