Responsibilities Provides 16x7 platform engineering support to various applications in Risk and Finance domain with expertise in Unix, Oracle/SQL, Java/J2EE based application support. Tasks includes but not limited to Maintenance, Administration, pre/post patching activities, Deployments and Configuration Management Microsoft IIS, .Net Support experience ,Install IIS and Configure the default web site Configure and manage application pools, Create additional web sites , Configure web sites and application support Secure web sites and applications and data transmission ,Manage certificates in the Centralized Certificate Store Configure remote administration, Implement FTP and Monitor IIS , Backup and restore IIS, Build load-balanced web farms. Performs application and system software installations and upgrades , Performs troubleshooting and solving of Middleware / application incidents Communicates with application developers for technical support and issue resolution Maintenance on Middleware software , take actions after failed automated software deployments Ensures support for planned infrastructure and application activities, Performs restoration of the various server components Manages requests to recover log files or other types of files , Performs optimization of the application and the system load Executes Middleware related system activities in for Windows IIS , Participates in implementation of new projects related to Applications Deployment Hands on OR thorough understanding of application onboarding on to CD/CI Good knowledge of Windows Operating Systems also Linux, Unix/AIX.Database and SQL knowledge (Oracle, My SQL, SQL Server) Ability to prioritize issues and to quickly find solutions Availability to work in shifts & On-Call support Participate in Transaction middleware automation activities and take lead to identify the opportunities to automate BAU (business as usual) and project task that can be automated. Understands business and application requirements to make design decisions that are both financially sound and result in stable systems that meet operational and data security standards. Ability to scale middleware platform horizontally and vertically. Capable of developing and executing test plans on emerging technology or new middleware functionality. Comply with existing Ethics and Data Security policies standards and processes to prevent data leakage or other security-related events. Able to learn technical concepts quickly and apply them effectively in the workplace. Knowledge managing .NET architecture is desirable.
Market Skills and Certifications Essential Qualifications Overall 10years of experience in Production/Application support teams Hands on experience on Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, IIS Administration Hands on experience on PCF based application maintenance and troubleshooting Hands on experience on SQL, Microsoft Dynamics, SSIS/SSRS, .Net Core, Kafka, Autosys, MongoDB Experience in building dashboards using Graphana and Kibana Hands on experience in incident management, proactive monitoring, setting up Alerts. Experience in agile development life cycle Good to have skills on middleware support for Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS, WebSphere, Weblogic. 3years of Oracle/SQL server experience Willingness to work on shifts 16x7, flexible working hours and attend late night calls Highly motivated person with the ability to learn new technologies hands on an on-going basis. Excellent written communication, interpersonal communication and documentation skills
