This position is for Beckman Coulter team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore

IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies includes Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.

The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as center of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly hardworking software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.

Position Description:

Beckman Coulters its newest Cloud based middleware solution Dx-One workflow manager (DWM) is seeking a Software development Engineer to deliver high quality deliverables.

DWM consolidates and manages patient orders and results information through one workstation. Whether its connected to a single analyzer or an entire network of instruments, our Clinical Information System enables your lab to increase efficiency and deliver faster turnaround time. Plus, you can consolidate workstations and improve the quality of clinical information.

The position Software Development Engineer, reports to the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Manager, Clinical IT and Software Development, with the primary responsibility to plan and develop our current and next generation of laboratory software systems. The incumbent translates requirements into software requirement specifications. The incumbent architects, designs, codes and tests software components. The incumbent will conduct and participate in reviews and inspections for all elements in the software lifecycle to ensure that our software quality and customer satisfaction goals are achieved. The incumbent will be responsible for all elements of the software life cycle. The incumbent will also be responsible for investigating system issues and successfully determining root cause. May lead and/or participate in multi-functional product research and development teams.

Specific responsibilities commensurate with experience and include: Work in iterative release product environment, with focus on challenging quality and delivery goals
Requirement analysis and ability to determine client requirements.
Effective Technical Communication, Rapid Prototyping and problem-solving skills
Performs code inspections. Investigates software, hardware, system problems and determine root causes for failures.
Use effectively prior experience of designing and architecting software modules.
Solid working experience with Multi-threaded development and low-level communication development such as TCP/IP and Serial connection
Ensure compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements such as FDA, ISO 13485
Facilitate discussion within the team and with other departments

Required Skills Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field with 58 years of proven experience.
Expert in C# Programming Language.
Minimum of 2 years of development experience with TCP/IP and Serial Connection
OOA/OOD methodologies.
Automated Unit Testing and Continuous Integration

Minimum of 1 year of experience with Version control using Git.
Scrum team/Scrum environment.

Experience with following technologies is a ( ) PowerShell script

Exposure to Design Control and Healthcare domain is a ( )
Ability to travel as needed.
Min 5 to 8 Years.
