About this role:

This position will support the Gartners Global Email Operations team. Individual in this role will work on organizing and managing email communications to clients and/or prospects. Specific duties include but are not limited to list management, email development and deployment using Eloqua 10, metric pulls and analysis, and testing of new approaches to email communication. This position will have the opportunity to develop business skills and acquire a broad understanding of Gartner with growth opportunities in digital marketing.


What youll do:

Database Segmentation

Strong analytical skillset with the ability to compile, organize and formulate a substantial amount of data with attention to details and accuracy.
Develop distribution lists and shared filters based on campaign requirements.
Understand and work on complex logical operators on Eloqua (or any other competitive Marketing Automation tool).
Help develop data cuts to facilitate segregation at various levels such as region, industry, job level, role, event registration, etc.
Be cognizant of data privacy laws and their application to email sends.
Analyze email deliverability data and ensure bounce back numbers are in check.
Be acquainted with custom data objects (user profiling) and how to retrieve information stored in them.
Recommend best practices to optimize distribution lists for campaigns.
Proficient in MS Excel for day to day data analysis.


Campaign Production

Manage deployment of inbound and outbound communications.
Help maintain the communications calendar to ensure right balance of outreach and timely completion of material.
Help identify opportunities for business process improvement and implementation of new technologies.
Ensure thorough QA/QC of all email campaigns before they are deployed.
Understand and implement personalization in email sends using signature rules, signature layouts, and dynamic content in Eloqua (or any other competitive Marketing Automation tool).
Assist in generating email KPI reports and dashboards.


Collaboration

Regularly collaborate with global stakeholders and peers to gather campaign production requirements and ensure appropriate audiences are reached effectively at the optimal times with the ideal message.
Work with manager to help onboard new talent as and when needed.
Maintain a consistent upward and lateral flow of communication pertaining to project status updates.


What youll need:

Bachelors degree in arts or sciences with 1-3 years of experience
Stronghold on Excel (should be good with: Functions, Lookups, Pivot etc.), Advanced data mining and segmentations skills
Experience in working with global stakeholders
Experience using Eloqua or similar Marketing Automation tool
Excellent oral and written communication skills, Strong attention to detail, Exceptional client service ethic
Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities
Superior problem-solving ability and ability to think outside the box.
Ability to form and test hypotheses with available data and industry/corporate best practices
Tolerance for ambiguity and self-drive to operate in an entrepreneurial setting
Proven ability of managing tasks from beginning to end with strict adherence to deadlines
Basic understanding of HTML and SQL is good to have
