Function Description:
American Express engages with thousands of third parties to provide goods and services. To ensure we protect our brand, avoid financial impact and adhere to regulations, all high-risk third parties must be subjected to appropriate risk management prior to contracting and on an ongoing basis.
The Third-Party Lifecycle Management (TLM) reporting team is an analytics group responsible for the data governance, transformation, Analysis and visualisation of analytical insights for TLM Operations, Business Unit and GSM leadership to support the TLM business process in Global Supply Management (GSM).

Purpose of the Role:
In this role as Data Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for understanding analytical requirements, data transformation, applying statistical tools and ML applications and data visualization for Business Units, TLM Operations, Leadership and various other partners.
The candidate will drive success of the analytical reports by working closely with business stakeholders, maintaining a strong project management framework, developing transformation logics and providing valuable reporting.

Responsibilities:
Create and develop metrics in an objective and sustainable manner to identify performance trends and issues in a succinct and visual manner
Deliver high quality and accurate results in a timely manner
Prioritize day-to-day tasks and monthly/quarterly/annual deliverables with ad-hoc requests without impacting quality or timeliness
As a subject matter expert, the candidate will act in a lead role with cross-functional teams to understand metrics and reporting needs
The candidate will be involved in metrics needs assessments, along with the planning, collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of both quality and productivity metrics
Prepares and delivers reports, recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in procurement operations
Managing quality metrics assist in standardization / continuous improvement and reengineering initiatives
Ensure high degree of team cohesiveness engagement
Ensure compliance to standard American reporting techniques
Predictive Analysis and visualizations for senior leadership MIS
Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
Deliver high quality and accurate results in a timely manner
Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
6-8+ years of experience in Analytics.
Bachelors or Masters degree relevant to the industry (other credentials will be a plus)
Requires proven success and experience in MIS and related functions
Strong analytical bend and experience on analytics tools like OBIEE, Tableau, SQL, Alteryx
Excellent Visual Design skills with sensitivity to user-system interactionexperience in developing reporting solutions towards complex multi-paneled, interactive dashboards
Source to Pay Procurement knowledge would be preferred
Knowledge of operational metrics, dashboard reporting, driving SLA driven deadlines and operations is a pre-requisite
Customer management/ customer interface with experience and ability to proactively anticipate customer needs and identify their specific requirements
Independent and self-motivated, capable of executing under uncertainty with multiple priorities, in a fast-paced environment
Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and assess key drivers of success, implications of alternatives and recommendations for execution
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Proven strong performance behavior in previous role
