Description
The Automotive Vehicles Solution team is searching for a Senior Automotive System Function Engineer to help us bring NVIDIAs Self Driving solution out to the world and optimize it for China market. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will change the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will coordinate with hardworking multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our AV SW platform, while achieving or exceeding all meaningful NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. Youll find the work is exciting, fun, and relevant.


What you will be doing:

Act as owner of vehicle level requirements/functional specification (with partners Function Owner).
Collaborate with specialists across the team to understand and refine customer and partners Autonomous Vehicle system function requirements and make sure they are supported by NDAS.
In depth understanding of Active Safety, L2 /L3 Driving architecture and implementation in NVIDIA AV software stack.
Familiar with NVIDIA AV SW infrastructure and tools to build test environment(SIL&HIL simulation, Road testing), and to collect useful events.
Collaborate with Systems Test Engineers to develop test strategies for verification and validation across multiple testing domains
Participate in Active Safety function, L2 /L3 function road test and validation in China.
Strong problem solving capability to analyze and debug potential root causes of AV system function issues found in China.


What we need to see:

BS, MS, or PhD in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related field. International education is helpful
Hands-on experience in autonomous vehicle or advanced driver assist system development such as lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, highway autopilot, etc.
Prior experience in enabling adaptation of driving functions or planning/control modules across different vehicles.
Proficient in developing with C, Python or other scripting language(s)
Proficient in test automation. Understanding of test and verification methodologies for automotive software


Ways to stand out from the crowd:

Theoretical expertise in control systems (optimal, adaptive, fuzzy, model predictive, robust, etc.).
Experience working with control system designs and planning algorithms, for example: classical feedback controllers, optimal control, occupancy grids, Dijkstra search, A*, Random Root Tress (RRTs), etc.
Understanding of deep learning and neural network concepts
Strong leadership, communication, project management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment and ensure execution across large organizations.
