We're looking for an experienced Storage Administrator/Systems Programmer for our leading financial client in Owings Mills. Expertise in storage administration on mainframe, including both DISK and TAPE, is a must.

Responsibilities of the Storage Administrator/Systems Programmer:
Support Mainframe storage administration functions Install, maintain, and upgrade IBM and third party products in a Mainframe z/OS environment using SMP/E and zOSMF Coordinate across support teams to quickly resolve disruptions to technology services, perform root cause analysis, and take preventative measures Review performance trends across the broader technology portfolio and initiate actions to address areas at risk for potential impacts Evaluate capacity utilization and proactively initiate projects; report to management via Excel or PowerPoint presentations Review planned changes for alignment to target state and adherence to enterprise policies prior to implementation Approve production readiness of technology solutions and application deployments Work across teams to review technology portfolio and make recommendations Requirements of the Storage Administrator/Systems Programmer:
At least 5 years of relevant experience SME in area of specialty with comprehensive understanding of the broader technology portfolio Proficient with DFSMS and DFHSM Administrative experience with BMC Mainview installation and support Working knowledge and experience with Oracle Virtual tape environments including VSM, VLE, and HSC management software Working knowledge of Dell/EMC DASD including SRDF remote copy Disaster recovery of DASD and TAPE Ability to track, maintain, and project space utilization using tools like FD Report, Excel Ability to evaluate capacity utilization and initiate projects proactively and report to management via Excel or PowerPoint Ability to work independently as a self-starter and to conduct environment discovery to understand SMS, ACS Routines Job ID: 353608
