Business Function

Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation.

Job Purpose

Development and implementation of the BCM program to ensure successful business continuity planning for continuing essential business operations in the event of a disaster/crisis

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Lead and coordinate business continuity governance activities.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the enterprise-wide business continuity management program including development of tools and instructional guides.
Continuity planning and event management, development and facilitation of enterprise wide event exercises, relationship management with external vendors, development of corporate policy, standards, and guidelines
Contribute to establishing and maintaining program processes and practices which effectively ensure that the enterprise program remains current, and incorporates/aligns with industry standards and practices as appropriate, and adequately covers general regulatory requirements
Manage Regulatory and governance and align organizational policies
Develop disaster recovery plans for physical locations with critical assets
Liaise with key BCP personnel of units and external emergency response groups to provide efficient emergency support to business units.
Test documented disaster recovery strategies and plans.
Analyze impact on, and risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements.
Develop emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes, or temporary shut-down of non-critical departments to ensure continuity of operation and governance.
Establish, maintain, or test call trees to ensure appropriate communication during disaster
Conduct or oversee contingency plan integration and operation
Write reports to summarize testing activities, including descriptions of goals, planning, scheduling, execution, results, analysis, conclusions, and recommendations.
Identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption and other risks caused by business, regulatory, or industry-specific change initiatives.
Create business continuity and disaster recovery budgets.
Create or administer training and awareness presentations or materials.
Maintain and update organization information technology applications and network systems blueprints.
Conduct or oversee collection of corporate intelligence to avoid financial crime, cyber-attack, terrorism, and infrastructure failure.
Recommend / implement methods to monitor, evaluate, or enable resolution of safety, operations, or compliance interruptions.
Analyze corporate intelligence data to identify trends, patterns, or warnings indicating threats to security of people, assets, information, or infrastructure.
Design or implement products and services to mitigate risk or facilitate use of technology-based tools and methods.
Create scenarios to re-establish operations from various types of business disruptions



Prior experience in Business continuity management, Governance & Control team.


Experience of min 15 years in managing organization level business continuity

Computer literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Power point, Visio, Excel and Word
Able to work independently with strong teamwork values
Good inter-personal and communication skills

Collaboration with all units of the bank and working in a cohesive manner
Working relationship with Bank Business and supporting units along with T&O Risk Mgt, Corporate Security, Information Security, Group Compliance, Group Risk, Group Legal, Group Audit, and other Business Units and vendors.

Business continuity Specific Knowledge

Knowledge and understanding of business continuity planning techniques
Project management skill
Trainer cum Facilitator skill
Knowledge of regulatory guidelines (RBI & other local regulators)
Information Security guidelines
Min 15 to 18 Years.
