Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be onsite Full time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be on-site two times per week, generally on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Job Description

In this role, you will join the GPSC and Manufacturing Data Development team as a DataStage ETL developer and will partner with the IT and Business communities to transform the processes and systems with industry leading solutions.

You will work on analytical projects from conception to completion with high velocity and quality. You will need to translate the needs of business customers to technical requirements, be cognizant of status, roadblocks, and pace of project throughout. You will escalate, as necessary, to ensure successful and timely project delivery to business partners.

This developer will be a member of an AGILE SAFE team that designs, builds, and deploys new and improved GPSC and Manufacturing analytics solutions using ETL, BI, and analytics tools. You will be involved in all aspects of the development process including collecting requirements with key partners, developing technical design, and collaborating across various applications and teams within development and deployment.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience Minimum three years of experience with ETL (DataStage, Talend, SSIS, other) Three years of experience writing efficient Structured Query Language (SQL) using various SQL-development software packages, including Oracle PL/SQL, and ability to use custom SQL for complex data pulls Experience in working with cross-functional teams, including with senior business leaders, to craft, develop, and produce reporting and analytics solutions while guiding them on the best Business Intelligence practices Understanding of ETL, Business Intelligence, and Data Warehousing concepts and standard methodologies Data-driven and systems-thinking approach to solving sophisticated problems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Critical thinking ability
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced ETL development skills including Business Intelligence skills (Cognos or Power BI) Experience with Data Modeling Experience with open source technologies (Spark, Python, Talend...) Strong problem-solving capabilities Full System Development Life Cycle application development - included Agile framework
