About the role:

The Corporate Communication Senior Officer (CCSO) is responsible for developing and executing the external and internal corporate communications strategy for the company and various projects within the portfolio across the North East Africa and Levant (NEAL), with a focus on Egypt.

At a regional level, the CCSO develops and manages the external communications strategy for the company across the communications mix including public relations and publicity, virtual/physical press conferences, sponsorships, special events, speaking engagements, trade shows to enhance the companys profile and reputation across NEAL, primarily with a focus on B2B markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Embedding our strategic purpose through all communications.
Developing communications strategies/messaging to support the companys positioning.
Developing and execute communications plans for the companys business units/industry verticals.
Contributing to, enhance and approve project publicity and public relations plans including press release development, special events, media conferences and sponsorships managing all approvals with the NEAL marketing team and MEA corporate communications director.
Content strategy and content development.
Develop and manage the companys Thought Leadership program.
Develop protocols and manage project crisis management aligned with corporate protocols.
Identify, develop and manage good news stories across all internal communications.
Develop (or enhance) the required communications governance and protocols covering PR/Communications, sponsorships, events, press releases.
Work with the marcomms team to manage communications performance/ROI metrics to communicate value add of communications to the company.
Provide strategic counsel and guidance to approved spokespersons for internal and external events, presentation and speaking engagements. The CCSO will provide written content for executive announcements, thought leadership topics as well as speech writing.
Work with the leadership and marketing teams to identify, develop and manage internal communications opportunities to promote and enhance the companys reputation with employees across NEAL.

Qualifications

University degree in Marketing or communications.
6years communications, PR experience in the B2C and/or B2B space, with a focus on energy and sustainability.
Multinational experience preferred.
Understanding of communications and PR agency protocols and systems.
Understanding of and ability to effectively use both traditional and digital communication tools to reach external and internal audiences.
Business purpose definition and cultural change capabilities.
Develop project & communications strategies.
Publicity and public relations plans including press release development, special events, media conferences and sponsorships expertise.
Content strategy and content development.
Thought Leadership program development
Crisis management process and protocol development.
Excellent command of written and oral English/Arabic.
Thought leadership development including associated content development / procurement.
Experience of working internationally with demonstrated cultural sensitivity.
Experience of working with confidential and highly sensitive information.
Ability to align multiple projects / businesses to a singular communications plan.
Strong Communication skills and ability to liaise with senior management on sensitive issues
