What youll do

Support the Indirect Procurement Tech team and their business customers with production issues and improvements. Serve as level one support to identify, monitor, and address support and system performance issues.

Operational Excellence

Monitors applications/systems and resolves issues independently. Owns and drives issue detection and resolution. Independently addresses moderately complex production issues in owned components and partners with IPT Teams driving root cause analysis for production issues reported.Prioritizes assigned activities and reports progress.Participates in and contributes to peak season readiness.Understands logs, metrics and other relevant artifacts required to solve each problem that can be solved at her/his levelUnderstands basics of logging, levels of logging etc. to simplify debuggability.Follows standards and best practices while coding to ease operational support (Ex: error code standardization, exception handling, connection pooling etc.).Understands basics of instrumentation while developing code, understands the metrics defined by seniors. Understands the usage of various metrics (Ex: high latency, CPU, memory usage etc.) on engineering dashboard to determine the root cause of problems.Understands basics of the alerts required to monitor the system.Understands basics of CI/CD and infrastructural automation and implements simple CI/CD components.Configuration, Coding Review

Implements and owns solutions with end to end responsibility. Makes sure the task is complete in all aspects within committed timelines.Basic understanding of configuration and ability to make relevant updates.Adhere to all relevant guidelines (Ex: code review process (peer and self), code branching strategies, logging best practices etc.).Adept in debugging production issues with guidance.You will work with SAP Concur, Ariba Sourcing and Procurement, SAP MM/IP/AP/AR/EAM/PS, SRM, SRM MDM, UI5, Fiori, Mobile Apps (Ionic + AngularJS, React), Workflow, SAP HANA, Ariba BI, Data Reporting tools, Coupa, Netweaver Gateway, SAP OOABAP, and SAPUI5 applicationsInfluence Communication

Possesses clear written and verbal communication skills.Can help business customers understand simple technical issues and solutions.Demonstrates interest in understanding the problem being solved and the design/solution being implemented, by raising relevant points/questions.Judgement

Makes data and expertise driven recommendations and decisions for support issues and enhancements.Can research simple problems independently and complex problems with the help of seniors.Interprets relevant data, prioritizes, makes recommendations, and takes decisions (where applicable).Can use business metrics to identify improvement opportunities.Uses probing and looks beyond symptoms to determine the root causes of problems and identify possible solutions.Customer Focus
