HR Data Analyst - Interim/Contractor
Location: REMOTE
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Day Rate: 450
Contract Length: 9 months

The role:
The HR Data Analyst will provide a first-class reporting service designing and developing HR analytics to drive business decisions. This is a key role in ensuring data quality and data integrity across a range of HR systems and the HR team.
This function does not currently exist in the team so the role holder will be required to design, build and embed a process that pulls together key HR data and provides analytical insight to the wider business on what this data is saying and what decisions need to be made as a result.
We are looking to build insightful data packs that clearly demonstrates business delivery and highlights risks and issues for further discussion and action.

Deliverables:

* providing support to the HR team by producing ad-hoc reports and providing training on the system and other programmes such as Google Docs and Excel
* responsible for producing, analysing and distributing regular monthly management information including the exec report and individual business group dashboards
* data cleansing and auditing, taking responsibility and ensuring accuracy of data
* pro-actively thinking of improvements to systems and processes which will support the HR function and strengthen
* monitor and audit HR data quality
* liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure data needs are captured and delivered
* prepare reports for internal management, create dashboards, graphs and
visualisations to present data in the format and at the frequencies required
* help the business to understand how they can use the data insights to make improvements on delivery and ways of working.

Skills Required

* excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to gather complex data and translate into a format that is both relevant and easy to understand for the target audience
* excellent organisational skills and able to manage time effectively, self-motivated, organised and resourceful
* strong proficiency with spreadsheets and working with large datasets
* strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in an clear and engaging way
* detailed understanding and practical experience of using a variety of data tools to transform and analyse different data sets
* experience of discovering and sharing analytical insight with stakeholders with various levels of analytical and technical expertise and at all levels of seniority
* experience of gathering and understanding technical requirements and working with developers to build suitable technical solutions
* experience of working in an agile, project-based environment, focussed on delivering user needs
* experience of using digital analytics APIs
* an understanding of, and practical experience with data analysis and visualisation tools, eg Google Refine, Tableau
* clear communicator, able to define the message in simple terms
