Trade Floor Support Engineer - 3 months - 300.00 - 325.00 per day inside IR35 - Central London

A global client is seeking a Support Engineer with previous experience providing Trade Floor Support to join their team on an initial 3 months contract.

This role would be working on-site in London 5 days per week and would be covering shift patterns between 07:00 am - 19:00 pm


Administration of VMWare Horizon VDI environment Active Directory administration Provide direct support for the Desktop environment, client applications and hardware including: Windows 7/Windows 10, Office 2010/Office 2016, TCP/IP (DNS, DHCP etc) In-house built Excel add-ins and applications HP workstations, laptops, thin clients and printers New user setup, hardware installation, permissions, application testing Software setup, installation and documentation of support procedures Proactive monitoring of environment and PCs using various tools Provide White Glove support to VIPs Ensure that all user service requests are logged, processed, and monitored according to company procedures Collaborate with IT counterparts to pro-actively obtain information regarding applications for problem solving or escalation.


The team operates a shift working pattern, covering UK Hours 07:00 to 19:00, along with an on-call rotation.

This position will require some weekend work.

Essential skills:

Previous experience providing Trade Floor Support VDI Administration & Troubleshooting VMWare Horizon Active Directory administration including GPO Good understanding of control principles - Release, Change Management, etc Used to working to best practice methodologies such as ITIL Microsoft Office Suite 2016/2019/365. Market data applications. PowerShell Scripting Understanding of build and client distribution architectures (SCCM) IT - min 5 years' experience, with 1+ recent year's in Financial Services
