Department OverviewReporting to the CEO, Strategy and Business Intelligence (SBI) provides strategic advice and support to all of the businesses within the Fitch Group. Working closely with the business units, the team develops and executes solutions to deliver improved business results including growing revenues, developing new products, improving productivity and enhancing the reputation of Fitch Group. Using a data-driven approach, SBI is also responsible for analysing the success of strategic initiatives around the firm and supporting M&A activity. Projects are varied and change according to the needs of the business, as directed by the CEO.

The team is looking to hire a Senior Business Intelligence Associate to help deliver insights, uncover key trends and support our Business Intelligence platform. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to develop their technical expertise and learn new tools such as Alteryx, Qlik, Power BI etc.

The position will be based out of Fitch's Head Office in London Canary Wharf or downtown New York City.

Summary Of ResponsibilitiesWorking alongside experienced BI professionals you will be actively involved in enhancing the capabilities of our self-service BI suite of tools. This involves liaising with stakeholders to define business requirements and deliver changes that carry strategic value for the organisation.

You will be partnering with members of the SBI team to support the delivery of actionable insights on customers and products. Through the use of advanced data manipulation techniques, you will identify key trends and patterns to enable assessment on content/product engagement and enhancement decisions.

In support of our large user base, you will be required to present findings, respond to ad-hoc requests as well as prepare documentation and user guides.

Experience And Skills 3/5 years of overall work experience. 2+ years of experience working with any Business Intelligence tools and platforms (eg QlikView/Qlik Sense, Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau). 2+ years working with SQL (any RDBMS) will be desirable. 1+ year experience with data cleansing and ETL in Python. Advanced Excel skills required and proficiency with PowerPoint, SharePoint and Microsoft Office suite. Experience with Document based databases like MongoDB will be a plus. Data Focused; Analytical/critical thinking skills. Ability to develop insights/recommendations aligned to business questions and stakeholder requirements. Clear and concise written/verbal communication skills. Eagerness to learn, solve problems, and collaborate. Undergraduate or graduate degree demonstrating a strong analytical background, preferably in Computer Science or related fields.
