Role Purpose: This role is accountable to the IT COO - Global Head of Business Management.
HSBCs Global IT Organisation (circa 40,000 FTE, $5bn costs) is one of the largest technology functions globally. Ensuring IT has the appropriate budgetary controls, process and costs analysis processes is critical to its effectiveness and ability to maintain its position as a market leader.
This purpose of this role is to own elements of the Reference Data Governance for the organisation, ensuring effectiveness of key planning billing processes and systems upon which the function operates.
This is a critical role for ensuring the implementation, effectiveness and efficiency of all Reference Data Governance, Reporting and analysis in the IT COO and Global Business Management areas. The role encompasses all Global Business / Global Function elements of Technology costs.
Responsible for overall Governance and control Reference Data in BM Tools. Responsible for managing end-to-end Reference Data maintenance to ensure correct Technology charges are billed Responsible for managing and maintaining reference data golden sources like supplier, customer which is used by various Business Management Tools like Discover GPDM, Clarity, Pioneer and HIBS Sound understanding of recharges and billing Accountable for ensuring effective governance of the processes, as well as ensuring that the outcomes and outputs are aligned with function-wide governance and process demands Responsible for management recharges activity Accountable for Managing and updating reference data documentation, process documents and information sources Ensure all reference data movement processes are quality, SLA and audit compliant Investing in and maintain effective relationships with all functions across related stakeholders
The role holder will ideally have knowledge and experience in the following areas:
Strong stakeholder management skills, thorough knowledge of reference data governance. Strong communication skill and fluent in English Strong MS Excel, database, presentation and summarization skills Demonstrates business knowledge, ideally experience of working within a complex global business unit Positive can do attitude and self-motivated
